Details
A “new-wave” Verdejo that challenges the mass-produced style of the region. Produced by Beatriz Herranz, it is a serious, mineral-driven white from old vines, fermented in large oak barrels and aged on its lees to achieve a creamy texture with vibrant acidity.
Appellation: Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León (The producer chooses this regional classification over the Rueda DO to allow for more traditional, non-industrial winemaking freedom).
Vintage:
Region: La Seca, Valladolid, Spain
Style: Dry, complex, and textured white wine. It features a “reductive” flinty nose with notes of fennel, stone fruit, and dried herbs, balanced by a silky, chalky mouthfeel.
Grapes: 100% Verdejo
Farming: Certified Organic (practicing biodynamic principles)
Alcohol Strength: 13.5% ABV
Pairing suggestion: Fatty fish (like salmon or turbot), salt-baked sea bass, poultry with creamy sauces, or herb-infused goat cheese.
