Details
A refined and supple Bordeaux that prioritises elegance over power. It features a bright garnet colour with a bouquet of redcurrants, blackberries, and subtle hints of bitter almond and cedar.
Region: Haut-Médoc AOC, Bordeaux, France (located in Macau, bordering the Margaux appellation).
Vintage: 2013.
Style: Medium-bodied, classic Left Bank Red.
Grapes: Typically a blend of 52% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6% Petit Verdot.
Fermentation: Manual harvest with strict sorting. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 3 to 5 weeks. Malolactic fermentation occurred in barrels to better integrate the oak.
Filtration: Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (approximately 25% new oak). The wine is typically fined but undergoes very light filtration to maintain its texture.
Alcohol: 13.5%
Farming: Certified Organic (Ecocert). 2013 was the first year of official certification for the estate. The vines are grown on deep gravel soils.
Allergens: Contains sulphites.
Pairing Suggestion: Ideally suited to grilled red meats such as duck breast or rib steak. It also pairs excellently with strong cheeses like Reblochon or a classic beef tenderloin.
