Details
Gobillard is a family-run house that owns about 30 hectares of vines, mostly around the famous Abbey of Hautvillers. Their Premier Cru Brut is designed to be the “golden mean” of Champagne: it has the finesse of Chardonnay, the structure of Pinot Noir, and the approachable fruitiness of Meunier. Because it is aged longer than the legal minimum, it develops a sophisticated “biscuit” character that punches above its price point.
