Details

Very fresh on the nose with ripe blackberries and dark cherries, mahogany and dry, woody spices. The palate is very powerful, juicy and fresh with clear black cherries and plums in abundance.

Region: D.O.Ca. Rioja (Rioja Alta), Spain.

Vintage: 2017.

Style: Savory, classic, medium-bodied Red Wine.

Grapes: A traditional blend of 65–70% Tempranillo, 20–25% Garnacha, and 5% each of Graciano and Mazuelo.

Fermentation: Fermented in the estate’s historic large oak vats using natural, indigenous yeasts.

Filtration: Clarified using traditional fresh egg whites and bottled without filtration to preserve its intricate texture.

Alcohol: 13.5%.

Farming: Sustainable and traditional. Fruit is sourced from the “Viña Cubillas” vineyard, with vines averaging over 50 years of age, situated at 465 metres altitude.

Allergens: Contains sulphites

Pairing Suggestion: Excellent with grilled lamb chops, chorizo-stuffed peppers, or hearty bean stews (alubias). Its high acidity also makes it a brilliant partner for cured meats and aged cheeses.
