• Les Deux Cols Alizé Côtes-du-Rhône Fantastic depth and concentration, with a nose of ripe forest fruit, that continues on the palate, where it’s complimented by peppery notes and great minerality. A long, juicy finish with well-balanced tannins.  From Kildare-based winemaker Simon Tyrrell, who has a degree in winemaking from Plumpton College in East Sussex, and who has been making wine in the Rhône valley for 12 years now. More recently, with several colleagues in Ireland, he bought three hectares of vines in the southern Rhône. Les Deux Cols is Simon Tyrrell’s own wine producing business, run in collaboration with Charles Derain, ex Sommelier in Restaurant Patrick Guildauld. Established in 2012, this is a hands-on winemaking venture from grape to bottle with the aim being to make the type of wines that reflect their passion for balance, elegance and freshness whilst also expressing the power of the South.
• Maison Tymas Sauvignon Blanc A bright nose with lemon zest and a hint of pineapple and soft herbs. The palate is medium bodied, fresh, with some tropical fruits and a crisp finish. Tymas is a collaboration between Kildare winemaker Simon Tyrell and Caroline Delmas from the Southern Rhône, sourcing top quality grapes to make highly drinkable wines.
